Duno if this question has been posted, and if so, how many times, but its a question that has been lingering in my head for quite some time...since the first moment i went car shopping, my dad told me specifcally to steer clear of cars w/ rebuilt (or reconditioned)engines, saying they are "unreliable" and that they will "shit out" on me in no time. Anyways... Now, I am now carless, due to a sad accident which totaled my Z, and so now i am in the process of searching for another car (specifically a Z). Everytime i find one in my financial ballpark, it usually is a high mileage one, w/ a rebuilt engine. And every time i see that, i shake my head, and go on to find another one. So here are my questions for you guys... Are rebuilds reliable to any extent? Is it all a matter of who is rebuilding it, and the experience they have with Z's (well obviously it matters but ya? Most importantly, should i trust one? What should i be weary of when purchasing a Z with a rebuild? You are the round table of Z God's, so i decided to just pop you this question in hopes of some good feedback... Happy Holidays all, I hope everyone is doing great!
